Year after year, the 24 hours Nurburgring are showing a good showcase for alternative energies within the competition: now it is the turn of hydrogen. Aston Martin Hybrid Hydrogen Rapide S will compete in the 24 hours of Nurburgring 2013, demonstrating a very particular hybrid mechanics: gasoline and hydrogen.
It is not the first vehicle that uses alternative propulsion energy to compete in the 24 hours of Nurburgring, but Aston Martin wants to go a step further. The hand of Alset Global Technologies, the British firm will put on the asphalt of the Nordschleife the Aston Martin Rapide S Hybrid Hydrogen, seeking to become the first car powered by hydrogen with “zero emissions” that will compete in the test of German resistance.
