Renault Twin’Run, 320 HP and central engine for strong almost of racing

Here at last: the Renault Twin’Run Concept is the successor in spirit of monsters such as the Renault 5 Turbo and the Clio V6. With 320 HP and a V6 engine in rear center position, the Renault Twin’Run is a prototype that focuses on pure sportsmanship no more punches.

Now at last we can learn more about, is that this weekend will be introduced under the 2013 Monaco Grand Prix Formula 1, what better setting for a coming-out?

Although it is nothing more than a prototype, Renault Twin’Run appeals to the past and the sporting tradition of the Diamond brand, wanting to find similarities to the Renault 5 Turbo or Renault Clio V6. You can of course, prefigure a future model for the brand intended for the urban segment, e.g. the new generation of the Twingo (or its substitute), at least from the purely design plane, but it will be difficult (to not impossible) we see a model of this radical in the street. SEAT Leon Cup Racer, directly to the circuit

SEAT presented in Worthersee tuning event 2013 the new Leon Cup Racer, the racing version of its compact model. You can dispute most of speed and endurance Championships. Leon Cup Racer has a 2.0 TFSI of 330 hp and is available with DSG transmission or sequential by 70,000 and 95,000 euro respectively.

Nissan expands its sporty range in Cheste

Nissan invited us to participate this weekend in a ceremony with their sports models unbeatable scenario, the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Cheste. Under the name of Nismo Sports Cars Event, the Japanese showed the capabilities of the 2013 versions of the 370Z and GT-R, the wild Juke R, the Juke Nismo GT-R Track Pack and electric Leaf Nismo RC. Also allowed Nissan 370Z Nismo enjoy the first in Europe.

It is the second such event to be held this year by Spanish land. The first was in Castelloli circuit, where we met nearly signed by Nismo models in Nismo Nissan Live event.

A unique feature about the action on the track Barcelona was able to enjoy in the European premiere of the 370Z Nismo version, a variant which goes on sale in June for a price to be around 60,000 euros. Aston Martin Hybrid Hydrogen Rapide S

Year after year, the 24 hours Nurburgring are showing a good showcase for alternative energies within the competition: now it is the turn of hydrogen. Aston Martin Hybrid Hydrogen Rapide S will compete in the 24 hours of Nurburgring 2013, demonstrating a very particular hybrid mechanics: gasoline and hydrogen.

It is not the first vehicle that uses alternative propulsion energy to compete in the 24 hours of Nurburgring, but Aston Martin wants to go a step further. The hand of Alset Global Technologies, the British firm will put on the asphalt of the Nordschleife the Aston Martin Rapide S Hybrid Hydrogen, seeking to become the first car powered by hydrogen with “zero emissions” that will compete in the test of German resistance. The Swiss firm Classic Factory unveiled last year the birth of Lyonheart K, a British sports luxury that does not hide the source of his inspiration: the Jaguar E-Type. SRT Viper TA 2014

In the spirit of beating the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, SRT has launched a package called Time Attack (TA) that turns your Viper in a much more docile beast and fast when shooting in circuit. Only 33 units will be produced, which will arrive in late 2013, and all of them will wear the orange body color Car Crusher images.

From Viper SRT say the TA has been developed in cooperation with professional pilots and is specifically tuned to give their best on the track. Toyota presents GT86 TRD, only for UK

Toyota has decided to work at TRD, its sports division in the development of a limited edition GT86. This new version is only available, for now, in the UK. Unfortunately, the TRD GT86 has benefited from cosmetic changes, leaving out a good mechanical work that highlights their mechanical strengths. Be manufactured, for now, 250 units.

Toyota has decided to launch the first special edition coupe GT86, and how could it be otherwise, has used his athletic arm for the task. Adam Opel R2, road to Geneva

A few days ago we told you the bet urban Opel, the Adam, had over 20,000 orders already on the table. Today, the news that we get over this small have to do with the presentation of a version of rally at the next Geneva Motor Show, in March.

They called Opel Adam R2 comes to complement the Cup (in which it is based); within the competition program that Opel introduced a few months. Alfa Romeo 4C already shows production details

The Alfa Romeo 4C will be presented during the next edition of the Geneva Motor Show and so there are no details to chance, even rolling prototypes are tested, but details of the production version. New design for the side mirrors, new location for the door handles, and a redesigned optical games generously sized rear diffuser. Sales in Europe will begin in mid-year.

The Alfa Romeo 4C, as well as advertise it on this site, will be debuting in the next edition of the Geneva Motor Show and to get to the point, the Italian automotive engineers adjust the final details. This is demonstrated by the latest spy photos taken from a pre-production prototype, showing some minor changes from the concept version known until today, and is likely to reach the production version. Honda NSX Concept, more details

The successor of the legendary Honda NSX is closer every day. The Japanese automaker presented in Detroit the latest evolution of the prototype that anticipates what will be the expected sports. For now, we’ll have to wait a little longer to see the production version.

Under the name of Honda NSX Concept (Acura in the U.S.), this new approach to the future NSX holds the main features of the prototype that precedes it, except for some minor changes, but especially for the first time shows a preview of the interior.

Outwardly this new prototype brings some changes compared to the previous, as a slightly redesigned rear spoiler or repositioning of the side vent outlet. They draw attention to its elegant lines, carbon fiber elements of the bodywork, and the stylized headlights. Continue reading →
