The Daimler Denza NEV Concept, presented at Beijing 2012

The NEV Denza reach that market throughout 2013. This is the first product of the company created jointly by Daimler and BYD, and was unveiled at the Beijing 2012.

The 2012 Beijing Motor Show a new sunrise viewing time as far as joint ventures between European and Chinese firms are concerned. BYD has brought his knowledge and experience in the manufacture of lithium-ion batteries and electric drive systems for large scale, a business in which the Chinese manufacturer can be considered a world leader. Meanwhile, Daimler, in addition to its 125 years of experience in the field, has been commissioned to create the platform.

Thus, the NEV Concept Denza is a 100% electric vehicle that is designed, developed and, since 2013, will be manufactured and sold in China. The chrome grille has a LED lighting system that projects the indirect light from behind the grille and rear doors open line to the front setback to improve ease of access to the interior. In addition, effort has focused on possible avoid contact between the user and the elements related to the battery or the electric motor.
