Make its official debut in the land, in France during the Paris Motor Show, but Renault has already announced the first details and images of the fourth-generation Clio. Already it needed to Clio a new generation. The third, which currently can be found in the licensee, Debuted in 2005 and even received a restyling in 2009, the increasing competition in the utility segment (Ibiza, 208, first and, with a major offensive by Korean brands) make it even more necessary to knock on the table of Renault. Here is the new Clio!
The snapshots show us that the new dynamic design wins Clio. Not lost ‘muscle’ to the current generation, but, following the analogy, muscles is more defined thanks to the increased presence of edges and flat surfaces. On the front takes on special importance of the brand logo, this is now larger and prominent, and LED lights. Furthermore, taking styling cues from the concept dezir, we saw in the Paris Motor Show 2010.
Renault itself has confirmed that the Clio IV only available in five-door, something to expect seeing that the rear door handle is hidden in the door frame in the style of the Alfa 147 and the Seat Leon. Inside, it was decided to maintain a youthful with a striking set of clocks with a flattened center that informs us, digital, speed and surrounded by two more conventional alerts us, analogically, revolutions and fuel tank level.
Mechanically, the Clio IV bet the latter. The utility Gallo debuts within the Renault range, the first three-cylinder turbocharged petrol TCe of 0.9 to 90 hp and 13.7 Nm of torque. Its performance, as Renault, resembles those offered a 1.4 standard but with a reduced consumption: 4.3 liters 100 km and emissions of 99 g/km of CO2.
He is accompanied, as to the gasoline engines, the 1.2 TCe 120 hp automatic transmission with double clutch and six relationships. This 1.2, turbo direct injection, will be available in early 2013While still in the process of approval. Also be in the range Clio IV a Diesel Energy dCi 90 hp 1.5 of with Start/Stop, 22.4 Nm of torque and a consumption of only 3.2 liters 100 km and emissions of 83 g/km of CO2.
The importance of being green
This fourth generation of the Renault Clio comes with the environment conscious and therefore includes a number of systems to help us consume and emit less. Apart of that Start/Stop, ECO launches a way that allows us to save up to 10 percent fuel action by changing the settings of the car. At the same time, the monitor via a color code will show whether we are being environmentally friendly in the way we drive and we will recommend the most appropriate place for it.
The ability to customize the Clio is endless, with lots of options-cheap as Renault, including our attention called Renault R-Link, a tablet that connects the car to the Internet. It has a 7 inch screen, will be connected to the Internet, the browser, the electronic system of the car and a virtual store to download applications, both the car and to our computer or smartphone.
