In Hennessey Performance aimed high with its Venom GT. The initial goal was to build the fastest production car, did you have finally achieved? When we talk about speed or acceleration records, all have various names in the head, starting Bugatti or Koenigsegg: the Hennessey Venom GT wants to beat them all.
Did you think that the record of the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport in terms of maximum speed record in a production car would take too long to be beaten? Well Perfomance Hennessey already officially claims for Venom GT. If the Veyron Super Sport in their day marked 431 km / h, the Hennessey Venom GT was able to reach the last Feb. 9, at the military airfield of Lemoore (California), no less than 427.6 km / h.
Indeed, a rate still slightly lower than the Veyron Super Sport, so where’s the catch? According to Hennessey, no trick: the 427.6 km / h of the Venom GT are properly approved and any production unit, in appropriate circumstances, be able to reach this dizzying figure, while in the case of the Veyron Super Sport speed maximum is electronically limited to 415 km / h on all units sold.
