In order to offer a growing range greener Citroen adds the new engine that already equips the Peugeot 208, which is characterized by low consumption and emissions. In the case of the model of the lion, offers a consumption of 4.5 liters per 100 km and an emission level of 104 g/km. It accelerates from 0 to 100 in 12.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 175 km/h.
The need to reduce consumption and emissions of the engines has forced automakers to seek alternatives to meet those objectives. The solutions used were the development of hybrid-electric drive lamentations and the downsizing of engines without sacrificing power for this. In this sense, Citroen has introduced vehicles that are in line with these developments, but as hybrid models of the French brand still under development, smaller engines are beginning to swell the ranks of the mark.
