The Japanese reached the Hall of Tokyo with many innovations, from advanced concept to models and real. Honda EV-STER, AC-X, Micro Commuter, Fit (Jazz) CR-V electric hog the spotlight in the stand of the Tokyo Motor Show.
The Japanese manufacturer has presented at the Tokyo Motor Show a barrage of news. The most prominent is the Honda EV-STER, a small sports concept of power generation. With a dynamic and innovative design, the EV-STER, rear-wheel drive, offers a new way to enjoy driving with electric mobility. Being built in carbon fiber, has a low weight and a range of 160 km. One of its most striking features is that instead of steering wheel incorporates two levers called TLS (‘Twin-Lever Steering’, twin steering levers). Its maximum speed is 160 km/h, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds and has a maximum power of 58 kW. Is charged in three hours at 200V and six 100V if it is with.
Another surprise unveiled at Tokyo Motor Show is the Honda AC-X (‘Advanced Cruiser eXperience’), an enormous plug-in hybrid sedan, also equipped with levers TLS and whose ultimate goal is to provide relaxation. This is possible thanks to its dual mode of operation: manual and automatic (highway). To warn the rest of drivers traveling in automatic mode, illuminates a strip of blue LED. With a 1.6 liter engine maximum power speed is 100 km/h, has a maximum power of 120 kW and a maximum range at cruising speed of over 1,000 km. Continue reading →
