If only a couple of days talked about the new engines that will launch the Mercedes A-Class, booked this space today to discuss its most powerful, the A45 Class Mercedes AMG, future rival of the premium compact market more performance as the M135i BMW or Audi RS3.

Mercedes has managed to create maximum efficiency diesel engines and sportsmanship for the new Class A. This is achieved by the EGR system (cooling system) low pressure reduces gas emissions and fuel consumption nitrous oxide. The German company has introduced two engines 4 cylinder. On the one hand, the OM607, which has been? Developed together with Renault from 1.5 dci engine of the French brand and optimized to meet the requirements specified by Mercedes.

This joint development is due to the needs of Mercedes to create an engine with very economic in small sizes. This diesel engine has a single variant called Class A 180 CDI (although in reality it should be called the 150 CDI engine capacity of 1461 cm3 is) that yields 109 hp and announces a consumption of 3.8 l/100 km.

The second mechanical Diesel, OM651, has been developed entirely by Mercedes-Benz. Cuenta with three variants of power and the first two mounts and Class B:

• Class A 180 CDI: reaches 109 hp with a consumption of 4.1 l/100 km.

• Class A 200 CDI: yields 136 hp with just a consumption of 4.3 l/100 km.
